I’d love to hear from any of my incoming juniors or former juniors who are now seniors regarding this opportunity.  DonorsChoose is now accepting student-led projects.  There is going to be an enormous, star-studded television event next Friday.  DonorsChoose wants projects up.  I have a feeling that everything will get funded.  Think. This school year, middle and high school students (that’s right, we said students!) can team up with their teachers to request funding for student-led learning initiatives on DonorsChoose.org. Â It’s all part of our partnership with Think It Up, a new nationwide education program from the Entertainment Industry Foundation that kicks off with an hourlong telecast on September 11 at 8|7C on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. Tune in to watch Kristen Bell, Stephen Colbert, Scarlett Johansson, Matthew McConaughey, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jeremy Renner, Ryan Seacrest and Jessica Williams, and others talk about this terrific initiative. We’re hoping that you will help us pilot this new project type by creating a project with your students over the next week, prior to the telecast on September 11. With millions of people watching, we want to make sure we have a lot of innovative projects ready to be supported! |
